It recently released “Operation Lights Out: The Story of CANAIRELIEF“, Angela Onuora‘s incredible award-winning documentary about the significant role played by Canadians during the largest nongovernmental war relief effort in history, which saved more than 1 million souls.

Angela Onuora

Chief Creative Officer & Founder – This Naija Girl Studios

TV, Radio, and Film Writer, Producer and Director, On-Air Radio Personality, Concept Developer. Angela Onuora is a creative/broadcast media jack-of-all-trades; she is also an engaging motivational speaker.

Since she moved from Nigeria, and subsequent to her arrival in Canada in 2014, Angela has co-founded a Women-in-Filmmaking Collective called Studio D-20, under the auspices of the Commons Studio – a part of The Working Centre Kitchener, Ontario.

Angela’s biggest passion is Creative Writing, and she is drawn to topics that celebrate all women, and tell stories fuelled by their diverse experiences and from their perspectives. She identifies as a women’s champion for equity (a story for another day).
